It’s an ideal way to see the highlights of the Cape Peninsula:

  • Depart your lodging in the city or nearby.
  • Travel along the Atlantic seaboard, passing the Twelve Apostles mountain range to Hout Bay.
  • Enjoy a Boat trip to see a Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island (optional).
  • Follow Chapman’s Peak Drive - one of the most spectacular scenic coastal routes in the world.

  • Arrive at Cape Point Nature Reserve - the tip of the Cape Peninsula where two ocean currents meet.
  • Walk up to Cape Point Lighthouse - standing at 249m above sea level with 360 degree views.
  • Don't miss a photo opportunity at the Cape of Good Hope - the iconic sign board reminds you that you are at the most south-western point of Africa.

  • Baboons, Ostriches, Eland, Zebra, Bontebok and many sea birds can be spotted on this day.
